Tile Export to Ghana — Accra, Kumasi & Tema
Ghana takes steady container volume through Tema and Takoradi, mostly for retailers and building contractors around Accra and Kumasi. Shorter transit than most of the region and a straightforward clearance process make it one of the easier West African markets to supply.

What sells in Ghana
Demand is not the same in every market. These are the formats and ranges that actually move here.
- 600x600 mm polished and matt for residential floors
- 400x400 mm for budget and rental housing
- 300x600 mm ceramic wall tiles
- Step and riser sets for the growing storey-building market
- Outdoor anti-slip tiles for compounds and terraces
Importing into Ghana
Ghana Standards Authority conformity assessment applies to imported tiles. We provide test certificates and technical documentation with every shipment.
Tema handles the majority of container traffic and serves Accra directly; Takoradi is the better route for the western region.
The market runs on a tighter price point than Nigeria, so GVT and mid-range polished vitrified move considerably faster than full body.
Exporting to Ghana — common questions
Do you ship full containers to Ghana?
Yes. We ship 20-foot and 40-foot full container loads from Mundra and Kandla, discharging at Tema, Takoradi. Transit is typically 20 to 26 days from Mundra.
Can one container hold several different tile ranges?
Yes, and most of our Ghana customers order that way. A mixed container can combine sizes, finishes and ranges, and can include sanitary ware alongside tiles, which brings the freight cost per unit down substantially.
What documents do you provide with a shipment?
Commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, bill of lading, and the test reports and technical data sheets your clearing agent or standards authority will ask for. We prepare the full set in-house.
Do you supply samples before an order?
Yes. We send physical samples of the shades and finishes you are considering before a container is committed, which matters because printed catalogues never reproduce a tile's tone accurately.
